Cooperation between scientists at national and international level has become a central element of scientific work. Complex interrelationships can often only be explored in interdisciplinary approaches in which experts from different disciplines work together. In addition, many questions, such as the effects of climate change, require a consideration of large spatial scales, in which Berchtesgaden is only one of many globally distributed research locations.
Technical University of Munich (TUM)
Our cooperation with TUM enables us to bridge excellence in science with science based conservation management.
The National Park's dense climate measurement network is operated in close cooperation with the German Weather Service and the Bavarian Avalanche Warning Service.
Research and monitoring on biodiversity and ecosystem dynamics are carried out in close cooperation with long-term partners.
